With the kind support of Tower Hamlets Council, Kazzum will be touring The Merry Maker-a fun and interactive performance to Play Centres and Housing Estates in East London this summer FREE of charge!
The Merry Maker is presented by a performer using a mobile trike, who entertains and interacts with his audience as he regales them with a personal rap, on the spot! He brings smiles for free, making the ordinary extraordinary as he freestyles about their surroundings, the people they are with, the tree they are sat next to or the food they eat!
Performances will be followed by workshops that will allow children to explore rap and poetry.
Kazzum is an arts organisation based in East London that brings inclusive playful performance to young people, wherever they are. We bring our work into the community performing at festivals, adventure playgrounds in parks and on housing estates. Our vision is that every young person can reach their creative potential and we work hard to remove barriers (physical, social or financial) that prevents young people’s creative engagement.
Performances will be taking place at the following locations:
July 26th at Stepney City Farm from 10:30am
July 31st at Weavers Adventure Playground from 12:00pm
August 1st at Spitalfields City Farm from 10:30am
August 2nd at Bromley By Bow Centre from 10:30am
August 2nd at Brabazon Green from 2:00pm
August 3rd at Mudchute Park & Farm from 2:00pm
