Kazzum are pleased to announce that we have been awarded and Unlimited Research and Development grant to support the early stages of a new production ‘Where’s My Nana?’

Unlimited will support the first stages of a new collaboration between Kazzum and Slung Low to create a site specific outdoor family show for car boot sales and outdoor public shopping areas. Combining the expertise of both companies: Kazzum’s ability to create high quality inclusive playful theatre in unusual places and Slung Low’s technological ‘know-how’ to make adventures for audiences outside of conventional theatre spaces, Where’s My Nana? will lead audiences on a theatrical adventure to find Nana’s van within a real life setting of a weekend car boots sale.
The project created by Kazzum’s Associate Director, Nicola-Miles Wildin (Nickie), whom has been developing her directorial skills through Kazzum’s Associate Artist development programme for the past 18 months. Where’s My Nana? Is a further development of Kazzum’s new outdoor family show Nana’s Jumble, also directed by Nickie, which will open at The Mercury Theatre in Colchester 29th–31st May 2014 Click HERE for more information
Nana will also be taking her Jumble sale to Stockton International Festivals, Mint Fest and lots of play spaces across east London in the summer.
Nickie is best known for her role as Miranda in the Paralympic Opening Ceremony London 2012
“I’m over the moon and ecstatic, it’s a great opportunity for Kazzum and Slung Low to explore and create a larger scale accessible adventure. Thanks to the support of Unlimited we will be able to develop Where’s My Nana? to be an exciting, fun and ambitious production that will challenge both companies to create a distinctive outdoor family show set in locations where families go… car boots sales.” Nicola Miles-Wildin
