Elias Matar
Deputy Artistic Director at Good Chance, Elias Matar is a storyteller, director, playwright, and drama & movement therapist.
His work draws on his Palestinian heritage and experiences, creating rich, contemporary narratives that explore identity, belonging, and resilience. Elias is passionate about the transformative and healing powers of creativity and has extensive experience leading trauma-informed programmes supporting the wellbeing and safeguarding of children and young people, including unaccompanied minors, refugees, and asylum seekers in the UK.
Elias has founded Ibillin Theatre in the Galilee and El Bayet Centre in London. His work has been presented at theatres and festivals across the UK and internationally.
