Proud to be Trauma-Informed!

We are thrilled to announce our accreditation as a trauma-informed organisation, assessed by One Small Thing. 

We have been awarded the Working with Trauma Quality Mark at Silver: Trauma Informed, a quality mark which was established by One Small Thing in partnership with Leeds Beckett University in 2020. This accreditation is the culmination of an 8-year journey for our organisation which started as a small seed of an idea and is now embedded across our programmes. The assessment process was rigorous, drawing together 34 pieces of evidence including policy, testimonials, case studies, reflective narratives, and organisational processes.  

We have been able to scrutinise how our work is supported by the 6 trauma-informed principles of care, influencing numerous areas of the organisation from leadership and governance to HR and workforce development. It has been a comprehensive review of the organisation, from root to branch, ensuring we are now trauma-informed in everything we do. Going forward this strengthens our position as we develop our new strategic plan and continue to develop new ways of trauma-informed working.
