Celebrating our Impact!

Today Kazzum Arts turns 31 and we are celebrating with the release of our Impact Report 2019-2020!!

Looking back over this turbulent year with all its twists and turns we are moved by the resilience, care and creativity of our team, artists, partners and participants. When the arts are flexible and responsive, the effects can be felt far and wide. Kazzum’s community have responded with integrity, vision and empathy – drawing together in times of crisis and offering support and care where it is needed most. We take great pride in what the Kazzum Arts Family have achieved this year. Here are some of the highlights:

We reached 3141 children and young people through the delivering of 254 creative workshop.

Worked with 30 community groups, education settings and organisations.

Provided professional training to over 200 artists, students and teachers.

Support 22 artists through an Employee Assistance Programme, coaching and reflective practice.

Though this Impact Report addresses activity within the period 2019 – 2020 (prior to the COVID-19 pandemic), we could not fail to acknowledge that it was created in a time of unprecedented uncertainty and upheaval within all our lives. In order to recognise the work we have undertaken in response to the pandemic and Racial Justice movements we broadened the scope to further acknowledge our impact and enjoy the beauty of creativity as it plays its part in restoring and healing during this time. The following are some of those achievements:

We created free digital rescources to support children and young people, practitioners and carers - viewed and downloaded them here.

We delivered training to advocate for trauma-informed practice - find out more here.

Supported our artists through the delivery of online hangouts, reflective practice and professional development opportunities - find out more here.

We took our Creative Wellbeing Workshops and Brighter Futures Group Online.

Find out more by downloading our digital impact report 2019-2020 here.

We also wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU to everyone who has helped us bring Kazzum’s vision and mission to life this year. Our work is a collaborative effort, we couldn’t do it without our amazing artists, partners, funders, trustees and most importantly our participants, whose courage and creativity during this time has been astounding!

Drum roll please!

A MASSIVE KAZZUM THANK YOU TO…
